Let’s Talk Book Quotes.

Words are probably the most powerful thing ever. They have the ability to make you feel so much.

Make you feel beautiful, make you feel worthy and accepted.

Make you feel shameful, make you feel heartbroken and disappointed.

I think that’s why I love reading so much, Authors have such a beautiful way of expressing their feelings with all sorts of words.

So let’s talk book quotes! Don’t you just love them? I know I do, I highlight like rapid fire when I’m reading because there are so many quotes hidden in those pages that get to me.

Here’s a line up of some of my favorites that have stuck with me over the years or even recently opened up all the feels.

“But if the thought of losing him forever makes you lose your breath, if living without him seems impossible now, then don’t let him go.”

-Revelry; Kandi Steiner.

“I thought loving someone meant letting go, but by the time I learned that loving someone means fighting for them too, it was too late.”

-Swear On This Life; Renee Carlino.

“Just because someone hurts you doesn’t mean you can simply stop loving them. It’s not a person’s actions that hurt the most. It’s the love. If there was no love attached to the action, the pain would be a little easier to bear.”

-It Ends With Us; Colleen Hoover.

“You can’t re-create the first time you promise to love someone or the first time you feel loved by another. You cannot relive the sensation of fear, admiration, self-consciousness, passion, and desire all mixed into one because it never happens twice. You chase it like the first high for the rest of your life.”

-Before We Were Strangers; Renee Carlino.

“When I’m with you, it’s electric. My entire body is on fire, and I feel alive. But that’s because you’re dangerous, not because we’re supposed to be together.”

-Corrupt Me; Jillian Quinn.

“It turned out a whiskey stain was just as permanent as ink, and I wondered if I would ever truly wash myself clean. Or if I even wanted to.”

-A Love Letter To Whiskey; Kandi Steiner.

“Choices are something we take for granted until we no longer have any options, and then we want to go back in time.”

-Say You’ll Stay; Corinne Michaels.

“I had given my heart to a man who had no intention of giving his to me. As much as I wanted to believe that he could, I wasn’t sure he was capable of such things. Because he is darkness. He is the devil …and I love him. Devastating.”

-Blackbird; Molly McAdams.

“And how do you know she’s the one?” I whisper, wiping the tears spilling down my face. He brings a hand up to my cheek and caresses over it with his thumb. “I know because, when she’s not with me, I feel like I lack oxygen, and even when I am with her, I feel like I can’t breathe enough.”

-Kaleidoscope Hearts; Claire Contreras.

“I’ve always seen you, angel. From the moment you found me, I’ve seen nothing but you.”

-Bared To You; Sylvia Day.

“They say time heals all wounds, but I disagree. Grief never ends, it just changes. You learn how to live with it, rebuild yourself from the shattered pieces around you until you’re whole again, but you will never be the same. The light is gone. The flavors. The laughter. You become a stranger who you used to know. But then one day you wake up, and you find the dark has been penetrated by a spark in the shape of a slip of woman with brown eyes that could drive a man to perdition.”

-Love Me In The Dark; Mia Asher.

“I love him because he saved me. Because he makes me acknowledge my feelings rather than feel ashamed of them, and he makes me feel calm and safe. Two things I haven’t felt since I was seventeen.”

-Curveball; Mariah Dietz.

“Don’t judge each other. We all have our own shit. Keep your eyes on yours and your nose out of everyone else’s unless you’re invited in. And when you get the invitation, help, don’t judge.”

-Bright Side; Kim Holden.

If you thought I was a hopeless romantic before, then you must be a believer by now! Mushy gushy as hell and you bet I get the chills just from re-reading these!

I love it :)!

Which ones are you favorite?

What’s some of your favorite quotes? Maybe I’ll do another feature and put it in there!

Goodbye 2016, Hello 2017!

Happy New Years Eve!

Looking back on a year is always bitter sweet. I try not to dwell on things, but honestly it’s just in my nature. I should have done this more, I should have said this and that, there’s always a million I should have’s. Though, 2016 was a decent year for me, I know there were a lot of heartbreak for others and my heart goes out to everyone who felt just pure pain this past year. With new years comes a lot of changes, and sadly some of the changes aren’t ones you would have hoped for.

I’m not one to make goals, but I can’t just sit around and wait for things to happen. I have to go out there and make them happen so 2017, I am making a goal list for you. I have a feeling it’s going to be a big year full of lots of big things, hopefully all good! I am making this year all about MORE. Things I need more of in my life and things I want to give more of, with the addition to a couple other bigger goals.

New Year More Goals:

  • More Love
  • More Hugs
  • More sleep
  • More books
  • More writing
  • More laughter
  • More trips
  • More creating

New Year Big Goals:

  • Eating healthy and becoming a healthier me
  • Lots of wedding planning
  • Saving more money, not buying things I don’t need
  • Volunteering/helping out more in the community

2016 Highlight:

Can you guess!? Getting engaged on Christmas Eve was my highlight! I am still so excited and smile every time I think about it. It’s so funny, I still call AJ my boyfriend because I’m so used to it but the other day at work I finally said my fiancé and then I started laughing because it just sounded so different! I am so happy I get to marry my best friend though, there’s no better feeling!

2016 Negatives:

My biggest negative is not writing as much as I wanted to! I started writing a lot in the Summer and I thought for sure that the Fall and Winter would be my down time to really knock out some words and pages, but nope life just got so busy and I regret not writing more. I also regret not doing more in my community and just with others, 2016 I was such a homebody and I really need to get out of my turtle shell in 2017 and do more things!

What were your highlights and negatives of 2016? Do you have any goals for the New Year?

I hope you all have a wonderful New Years Eve! Be safe and have fun!

Cheers to 2017! Brings us all much happiness and love!

My Top Five Christmas Traditions.

Three Days Until Christmas!

First of all, I know I’ve been absent a lot this month and I’m really sorry about the lack of comments and posts I have missed! It’s just been a crazy month, after the new year I will be up and running regularly though :).

With that being said….

Is everybody ready for Christmas!?

I’m almost done, I just have a few errands to run today and tomorrow and then It’s time to relax and enjoy family time this weekend.

I adore Christmas traditions and I love seeing what everyone does for the holiday’s. It mostly gets me so excited for when I have my own kids, I have about a million traditions I want to do when I start a family (sorry future babies lol). That’s what it’s all about though, just being with family and finding those moments that make the best memories.

These are my Top Five Christmas Traditions that are my favorite.

Opening one present on Christmas Eve

Does anyone else do this? I remember my parents always letting us pick out one small gift under the tree to open on Christmas Eve and I would love it. This is a tradition I am going to keep up when I have my own family.

Christmas Pajama’s

Every Christmas I get a new pair of pajama’s. I don’t know about all of you but I am a comfy junkie! I love sweatpants and big comfy sweaters and especially pjs! On the weekends or my days off if I don’t have to change out of comfy clothes then I won’t.

Christmas Cookie Decorating

My favorite! I love Christmas cookies and decorating them with family has always been my favorite. Today I am actually heading over to my Aunt’s house and my nieces, my Aunt and I are going to make some Christmas cookies :).

Christmas Lights

There’s nothing more beautiful then driving around looking at Christmas lights. There’s this neighborhood over by my house that does this HUGE Christmas light display and it’s breathtaking. Well, my parents, my boyfriend and I made a new tradition to check it out every Christmas Eve after my families party.

Christmas Morning

Since AJ and I got our own place, the new Christmas morning has been at our house! AJ, Izzy and I open up our presents then I start making breakfast and our parents come over to do presents. I love it, and it’s so much more relaxing then having to run to everyone’s house.

This year I’m making a breakfast casserole. It’s diced hashbrowns, eggs, sausage, and lots and lots of cheese, oh and I’m adding onions! Then a side of bacon and whatever else to drink :). YUM!

Now you know my favorite Christmas Traditions. Here are five traditions I must start when I have a family of my own!

25 Books Of Christmas

I love this idea! Opening up a book every night starting on December 1st. Such a fun and good way to get everyone to enjoy reading as much as we do :).

Elf On The Shelf

I can’t take all the cute ideas I have seen this year for Elf On The Shelf! So many of my friends who have kids are getting so creative with it. I know a lot of people who think it’s annoying but I think it’s fun for the kids.

Letter’s To Santa

Letter’s to Santa is so important, I remember writing them all the time when I was younger. I think I realized Santa wasn’t real though when I started to notice the handwriting on the letters back to me looked a lot like my moms! lol I’ll have to do super manly writing when it’s my turn.

Matching Pajama Pictures

This idea is too stinking cute! I love it, and I think holiday pictures are so fun anyway so why not throw in some matching pajama’s by the Christmas tree!?

Christmas Crafts

You all know how I love my crafts so it’s only expected that when I have my own kids, we will be picking out special days to Christmas craft like crazy! They also make super cute gifts for the grandparents or other family members too from the kids which I know I love getting homemade crafts form my nieces.

There you have it, do you do any of these fun traditions!? Do you have any new traditions that you do? Feel free to share them, I love new ideas.

I hope you all have such a wonderful holiday, and soak up all the joy and love you possibly can! I know I will be!

Happy Holiday’s!

Black Friday Was The Death Of Me!

I’ve missed you all!

Holy crap, so first of all I hope everyone had an absolutely wonderful Thanksgiving! I can’t believe it’s here and over with already. I think this is the longest I’ve been off the blog and there’s two words to describe why;

I cringe when I hear those words. My store opened at 5pm on Thanksgiving and we were open all night until 11pm that Friday. I worked from 4:30 pm Thursday until 8:30 am Friday and then I worked Saturday morning also, so where have I been all weekend? Working and sleeping and feeling like a zombie.

I haven’t even picked up a book since last week either. I’m hoping to start one tonight but I’m not exactly sure which one I want to read. Any suggestions!? Any hot new releases out this week? I feel like I am so out of the loop.

Anyway, I am trying my hardest to get caught up on all of your posts. Sorry if you see not so many comments but if I liked it, then I read it! I just might not have the energy to type back ;).

What to look forward to this week;

Hopefully I find a book to read tonight and have some reviews up!

My most exciting post this week will probably happen on Wednesday though, I am done decorating for Christmas and it has been so much fun. It’s my second Christmas in my own home and last year I didn’t have a lot of decor because well we were still broke from purchasing our home lol. This year though, I accumulated so many more decor pieces and it is looking a heck of a lot of Christmas up in here!

My Fall decor post was a hit, so I will be bringing you a Christmas decor post this week and I hope you love it! I love everything about Christmas, I just need some snow now! I’m ready for it :).

(sneak peek!)

I’m not ready for shopping though, I have hardly started and I have no clue what to get anyone especially the men in my life. Why are men so hard to shop for? I think they are more picky than us women. So don’t be shy ya’ll, feel free to send me all the gadgets, gizmo’s and every other idea you have for Christmas gifts for men! I need all the help I can get.

(25 days of Christmas movies start soon!!)

With all of that said, and my ranting over, I hope you all have a great day! Send me some book recommendations so I can get to reading!

Top Ten Tuesday (10 things I am thankful for.)

Happy Tuesday bookworms!

It’s late, but I couldn’t resist this weeks Top Ten Tuesday as it’s a thankful freebie week! I have so many things to be thankful for, so be prepared for a long mushy gushy thankful post :).

Top Ten Tuesday is a weekly meme hosted by The Broke and the Bookish, check it out and participate! It’s fun!

Top Ten Things I Am Thankful For

1.     My Parents. My mom is the sweetest, most softest soul you will ever meet. I get my decorating skills from her without a doubt and she has become one of my best friends as we are both getting older. My dad is one of the funniest men I have ever known, he is a big kid and always has a quick comeback. He is strong and loving and he is such a loyal friend and I am such a daddy’s girl. I love them both dearly.

2.      My Boyfriend. If I could describe AJ in one word it would be, charming. He is hands down the silliest yet most charming man I have ever met. A little inside on the first time I found myself in his presence. It was at a mutual friends party and AJ was pretty buzzed by the time my friend dragged me out, his way of trying to flirt with me? Showing me a horrible card trick. Yes, a card trick. He is as much of a dork as he is sexy and I could never be more thankful for him being in my life and constantly making me smile and feel loved.

3.     My Grandparents. My dad’s parents are my world. I grew up in a tight knit family and my fondest childhood memories and even adult memories are days and nights spent with my nana and papa as I call them. Growing up, I would find myself at nana and papa’s more often than not. I honestly don’t know what I would do without those two and I never want to imagine a world without them in it. They are the glue to my family and I will forever be thankful for everything they are.

4.     My Aunt. I have an Aunt who is more special to me than anything. My dad’s sister is what I call an Angel. She is strong, independent, caring, and her laugh could make anyone laugh just from hearing it. I grew up with the comfort of knowing I always had someone to turn to, and I defiantly had someone great to look up to and aspire to be like. She is my God Mother, but more importantly she is my friend, and I will always be grateful for everything she has done for me.

5.    My Nieces. (instant tears lol) Where do I even begin to describe these sweet girls? I have two neices that are also my God daughters. Caylee is a five year old who has the heart of someone who should be much older. She is our sensitive one but she is also so funny and the older she is getting, more of an attitude is starting to make its way out which is adorable. Alli is three and she is our stubborn girl, she may be little but she sure won’t take anyone’s crap. She also loves cuddles and watching videos with you. These girls have made the biggest impact on my family and they have absolutely everyone wrapped around their little fingers. I couldn’t imagine a life without their smiles in it anymore, and I certainly don’t ever want to. Those little girls are the sweetness that was brought into all of our lives.

6.    AJ’s Family. AJ’s parents have grown to be as close to me as my own. His mom has this amazing wild side and is not afraid to speak her mind but she will always stick by the ones she loves. His dad is a quiet one if you didn’t know him well. Once you get to know him though, he turns out to be this hilarious bud light loving man. I am so thankful for them being in my life and the love they have showed me over the years. I truly feel apart of his family and it’s the greatest treasure in the world.

7.    Izzy (my pup). I am a dog lover to the max. Izzy is my first dog that is actually mine though, that I take care of. Izzy is funny and sweet and has a huge attitude. She barks way too much and will literally lick your face off. She makes my life so much better with her snuggles and her funny ways of playing and getting my attention. She certainly gives AJ and I a run for our money, and is great practice for future babies ;). She is my favorite, even if she steals my shoes and toilet paper every day. Love my Izzy boo and I couldn’t imagine my life without her.

8.   Books. Oh books. Where would I be without them? Books are what keep me sane. When I am feeling down, I pick up a book. When I need some inspiration, I pick up a book. When I just need something to do, I pick up a book! They are the greatest creation and I can’t get enough. It’s my favorite hobby and I love it so much I could shout it to the world. Thank you to all the wonderful Authors out there for creating books that take such a special place in my heart.

9.  My Job. As much as I complain about my job, I also am grateful for it. I work with a great group of people that have passion and the drive to get things done. I also have made a few great work friends in the process. I am thankful to have a job to pay my bills and provide a little extra for my book buying obsession and my decorating obsession of course.

10. You, Bloggers! I am so thankful for all of you. You are all so inspiring and so creative in your own ways. I have got to know some great people through blogging and I couldn’t be more thankful for this little community. Thank you for letting me express my obsession with steamy romance novels and my slutty ways with my constant book boyfriends ;). My biggest thanks goes to the positivity and support for my writing I have received though. I have always loved writing and it makes me so happy with all the support you all give me when I share some of my pieces. Never stop writing, reading, and being your creative selves :).

Geeze, tears writing this! I love Thanksgiving and I love the holiday season. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving full of love, family and friends! Share what you are thankful for if you would like. I would love to read it!

Goodnight! x0x0

Retail Life.

Happy Monday Bookworms!

For those of you who don’t know, I have a part-time retail job. If any of you work or have worked retail then you know how stressful the holiday season is.

These meme’s are hilarious and pretty much sum up my last couple of weeks at work.

This week it’s all about getting ready for black Friday. SO not fun & we started playing Christmas music today! Tis’ the season of craziness!

Although I don’t mind it right now, I have a feeling the picture above is going to be me by December.

So this blog post is mainly for apologizing if I’m absent more than usual! My reading time has been cut down lately, and so has my blogging time 😦

I am going to try my hardest to schedule posts though, I have yet to do that but maybe it will help me out a lot.

On a happier note though,

I am currently reading Say You Want Me by Corinne Michael’s and LOVING it! 🙂

There’s no way I’ll fall for Wyatt Hennington.

He can keep his Southern drawl, irresistible smile, and those pick-up lines all to himself. I made the mistake of sleeping with him not once, but twice. I’m not stupid enough to give him round three, especially after he left me in the middle of the night so I could see myself out. I vow to return to Philadelphia and forget him.

It proves easier said than done.

When the doctor informs me I’m the winner of door prize number two, I put my life on hold and head back to Bell Buckle. Three months and if we can’t make this work, I’m gone.

The problem is—when the cards are stacked against us, and I can’t bring myself to leave him, I’ll finally know if he truly loves me or if all my fears were real . .

Also, I loved my Fall decor post I did in September so I will be doing a Christmas one that is going to be so amazing. I absolutely love decorating my house for Christmas. It’s my favorite holiday ever, so expect an extra long decor post and I’m sure many other festive posts these next few months. I tend to get crafty! 🙂

Ok, that’s it for now loves! I just wanted to do a sort of update post. Hopefully I will have Say You Want Me finished soon and a review up by the middle of the week!

Have a great night!

My Top Favorite Book Boyfriends!

Happy Saturday Bookworms!

Who has that one male fictional character that just does it for you? Most of us all have one or maybe several like me? I tend to fall easily for fictional characters I guess, but that’s besides the point ;). My book boyfriends are all very different, some are super sweet and some are a bit naughty but that’s perfectly ok!

Today, I am here to hopefully bring you your next new book flame! So lets begin because this is fun! These are my top book boyfriends! 🙂

Gideon Cross. Gideon is everything Christian Grey should have been but wasn’t. He is dominant and protective but don’t let the power of Cross Industries fool you. Gideon is also so sweet and he will do absolutely anything for the people he loves and I mean anything. He has this way about him that just pulls you towards him, maybe it’s his eyes, or maybe it’s just everything about him. Who knows, but trust me when I say this is one powerful man you want to be in the arms of.

Blake Crawford. When I think of Blake the one word that always comes to my mind is fun. He is so much fun, he will have you laughing more than a couple of times. Don’t let that fool you though, Blake might be all fun and games but this guy will also have your panties in a bunch! He writes the sexiest novella’s and your face most likely will be as red as a tomato. He’s also British and I think that pretty much speaks for itself. You’ll adore his quirky ways from the start!

Garrett Graham and Dean Di-Laurentis. Two words: Hockey Players. Although these two have very different personalities they are both equally swoon worthy! Garrett is such a sweetheart, and his caring ways will have you hooked from the start. He also obviously has great abs, but it’s his heart that will get to you the most. As for Dean, he is arrogant, a man slut and totally full of himself but he will have you laughing your ass off more than a handful of times. His words and thoughts will also have your mouth dropping open and you will fall into the Di-Laurentis trap in no time.

Travis Maddox. Covered in tattoos with his bad boy ways. Travis is a definite book boyfriend. He’s the bad boy type you see your teenage side rebelling in. He’s a fighter and a total panty dropper. Although he can be hot blooded and extremely passionate when he falls in love, he also has this incredibly sweet side to him. His words will have you stumbling over your own two feet.

Chase Parker. On the surface Chase is gorgeous, sexy, full of himself, and he makes you wish he was your boss so you can have a steamy office romance. Look a little deeper though and you find this sweet, gentle and kind soul who has seen enough hurt in his life. You will absolutely fall in love with Chase. If it isn’t the cheery side of him that gets you then it will be the broken pieces, because I guarantee you will want to be the one who puts them back together.

Gustov Hawthorne. It was actually Kate Day yesterday in the Bright Side family! Gus is by far my biggest rockstar book boyfriend. He’s so talented, he’s so generous and his ability to love with all his heart is indescribable. If his sexy voice, his talent or his big heart doesn’t get to you, then I know one thing that will. He will without a doubt be the best friend you have ever had. His loyalty and his friendship is only something we could all dream of. You will be wanting those late night phone calls and hours of skyping with this rockstar touring the world.

Miles Archer. You didn’t think I could get through a post without a character from Colleen Hoover did ya? ;). Miles has this stone cold wall he tries to put up, but deep down he is nothing but a sweetheart. He has a no strings attached attitude, but his ability to fall in love runs so deep. He is mysterious and he makes you curious, and then when he opens up to you, you pretty much better kiss your heart goodbye ladies. There is supposed to be an Ugly Love movie coming out at some point and the fact that Nick Bateman is probably going to bring his character to life is even BETTER!

I know! I’m a bit of a book slut, as I’ve said before 😉 lol!

Do you love any of these characters, too!?

Who are your book boyfriends, even though I don’t need to find more!
