All The Missing Girls

Mystery, suspense, secrets, you won’t know what happens next.

5/5 stars!

*I received this novel free from Netgalley in an exchange for an honest review.

wow, wow, wow!

This book was too good. This story was so well written it was insane. The author told everything backwards from Day 15 of Nic’s return home to Day 1. That might seem weird to you but honestly I don’t think it would have been as good if it were told anyway else. You would get to a day and be like “What the heck, how did this happen!?” you were at the edge of your seat wanting to figure out what happened the day before.

“Missing girls had a way of working their way into someone’s head. You couldn’t help but see them in everyone – how temporary and fragile we might be. One moment here, and the next, nothing more than a photo staring from a storefront window.”

Ten years ago, Nicolette Farrell’s best friend Corinne disappeared when they were just 18. Nic has tried to stay away from Cooley Ridge as much as possible, but she is back there once again to care for her father and help out her brother Daniel and her sister in-law Laura who are expecting a baby.

Tyler, Nic’s ex-boyfriend is dating Annaleise Carter, her  younger neighbor who happened to be Tyler, Nic’s and their friends (Daniel, Jackson, and Bailey’s) alibi the night Corinne disappeared. Within a day of Nic’s return to town Annaleise is now missing and everything that happened a decade ago is seeming all too familiar with the lies and secrets surfacing all around them.

The characters are so well created. They make you feel like you are 18 and living in Cooley Ridge with them, doing all the crazy things they did. The story line is even better, I was sucked right in from the start. You’re left hanging from the beginning wondering what happened, who did it? I think I suspected everyone for a different reason, I could not figure out what happened to Corinne and I defiantly couldn’t figure out what happened to Annaleise.

“The darkness lives in everyone. She knew this better than anyone. Everyone had two faces, and she looked deep into us until she found it.”

This story breaks open secrets and lies like no other. No one is innocent, but no one is guilty, it takes you on a crazy mystery ride. My favorite thing about this story was that the whole entire book was good and full of suspense and mystery. They didn’t just leave all the good parts for the last 30 or so pages like some books do. You are fully into it the whole entire time.

“We were a town full of fear, searching for answers. But we were also a town full of liars.”

When you reach the end, you will be completely shocked when the truth finally comes out! If you haven’t read this yet, you need to! Anyone would love it, it’s just a great book. I know I can’t wait to read more from Megan Miranda!
